Scottish Rite Research Society awarded Ill. Alain Bernheim, 33

On Tuesday, October 6, 2009, the Scottish Rite Research Society (SRRS) held its annual meeting in the Congressional Room of the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington (D. C.). About 200 members and guests of the SRRS were present among which Ill. Bro. Gerhard Loertscher, 33°, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council for Switzerland.
Guest speaker was Ill. Alain Bernheim, 33°, Paris and Montreux. He was introduced by Ill. Arturo de Hoyos, 33°. After his speech Ill. Bro. William B. Brunk, 33°, President of the SRRS, awarded him
the Albert Gallatin Mackey Award "for Lifetime Achievement", a distinction which was awarded five times only since the SRRS was founded and never before to a non-American Brother. This was followed by a standing ovation which lasted for several minutes.
